Text Box: Text Box: Originally from Massachusetts, I moved to York in 1996. I am an ovo-lacto vegetarian, which means that I eat eggs and dairy products. I grew up in a family of amazing cooks and bakers and have such fond memories of cooking….. Standing on a stool at the kitchen sink in my grandmother and aunt’s kitchen, preparing a “soup” of the carrot, potato and onion peels tossed aside from their dinner preparations. At the home of my paternal grandparents, grinding apples and green tomatoes with a hand grinder to make mince pie filling. Cooking breakfast with my father to surprise my mother with breakfast in bed. In my own home, cooking with my daughter, spending hours trying new recipes and preparing the tried and true. And, for the past 7 years, I have been sharing my passion for cooking with children and adults.
